How to Stop Stress Mindset Influencing Your Life

April 23, 2020

Do you know how your mindset impacts your life and your well-being? And I will give you one easy tool, which will help increase your awareness of your mindset. Because, when you are aware of what you are thinking about, you can change it more easily.

Are you aware of what you're thinking about?

Are you aware of what you're thinking about every day, every hour, every minute, and every second?

Why am I asking this?

The answer is simple-your thoughts and your mindset influence your life... in a BIG way!

If you concentrate on certain things, then your brain focuses on this thing only. NOTHING ELSE!

Pay attention to what you are paying attention to

I have a fantastic colleague Marjo, who often asks clients to pay attention to what they are paying attention to.

Pay attention to what you're paying attention to.

And what Marjo does is that she continually posts yellow cars when she's making this call. Soon after meeting her, I started to see yellow cars everywhere. And nowadays, when I see a yellow car, I immediately check what it is I'm thinking about at this moment.

So...
What are you thinking about?
What are you concentrating on?
And...
What are you searching for in your life?
Problems or solutions?

Just give an order

It is so easy with our brains. You just give an order, and it starts to do it.

So what do you order your brain to find?
Stressful situations?
Or possibilities?

I am also going to give you some homework...
Choose the color of the cars. It could be yellow like Marjo's cars, it could be pink, it could be orange...
And each time you see one...
Check what are you thinking about at that moment.

In case you stay inside and don't have these yellow, pink, or orange cars available, I suggest you use a simple reminder app.

To get the maximum use of it, add reminders every hour asking, "What am I thinking about?" This question increases your awareness about your thoughts and helps you to change your mindset more easily.

So, are you aware of what you tell your brain to find in your environment or in your mind?

If there is a problem in your mind, then ask, “What can I do to change that?” You’ll see how quickly your brain starts to find a solution.

You can also choose something else to think about. Something joyful, something creative, something heart-warming. You can think of something that creates a better future for you, your family, and your business.

If you have an iPhone, you can use a simple reminder app to keep you accountable to your thoughts -- Simple Routine - Daily Reminder. And it's free!
